Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Karfolio. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Your account

You sign in with a third-party identity provider. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure, and for everything done through your Karfolio account. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. One person, one account — accounts are not to be shared or transferred.

Your content

Everything you tell Karfolio about your career — your Profile, your Experiences, any resume you upload — remains yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service for you: to store that content, process it, and generate documents from it at your request. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train third-party models.

You confirm that what you provide is accurate and that you have the right to provide it. You are responsible for the accuracy of any resume you send to an employer, whoever drafted it.

Credits and payment

• Building and improving your Profile is free. Credits are consumed when you ask for chargeable work, such as an additional Refinement.
• Credits are purchased in advance, have no cash value, and are not transferable between accounts.
• Prices are shown before you buy. Where a Credit is held for work that then fails on our side, the hold is released and you are not charged.
• Payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your experience, qualifications or identity.
• Use the service to generate content about a person who is not you.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
• Resell or redistribute the service, or use it to build a competing product.

Generated content

Karfolio uses automated systems, including language models, to draft and review documents. Output can be wrong. Review everything before you send it to an employer. We make no promise about interviews, offers, or the outcome of any application.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service. Where a change is material we will give reasonable notice. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Termination

You may stop using Karfolio and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Unused Credits are forfeited on termination for breach.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. Karfolio is not a career, legal, financial or immigration adviser. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
